Chicago Native in Need of a Kidney

Meet Richard Chee, a Chicago native that is in need of a Kidney. Richard is 70 years old and originally from Hawaii, even though he has spent the last 45 years of his life in the suburbs of Chicago. His supportive family includes a wife of 40 years, 2 daughters, a son-in-law and 2 grandkids (a 6-year-old granddaughter and a 1 year old grandson).

In his retirement he continues to experiment and perfect recipes in the kitchen, much to the delight of his family & friends who often find food deliveries on their doorsteps. Growing up in Hawaii with 3 brothers, a sister and lots & lots of cousins has taught him the importance of family. Richard is very close with his daughters and is enjoying spending his retirement years with the grandkids. “Being a parent is fun, but being a grandparent is the best!” says Richard!

Richard is not on dialysis yet but will soon be to prolong his life, he will need a kidney transplant in order to save his life. The National Kidney Registry was formed to help those in need of a kidney find donors.
