ANNA launched Nephrology Nurses Week to give employers, patients, and others the opportunity to thank nephrology nurses for their life-saving work. They are recognized during the week of September 10 to16 this year.
Nephrology nurses use their experience, knowledge, and patient care skills to care for patients with kidney disease, primarily those on dialysis. Caring for patients with kidney disease requires nurses to be highly skilled, well educated, and motivated to help their patients. Many nephrology nurses say that the variety and challenges of their work keep them excited about what they do.
At NANI, “we could not provide the nationally-recognized nephrology care we are known for without our excellent clinical team. Nephrology nurses are an integral part of that team, along with our physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants and other clinicians,” states Brian O’Dea, COO.
To our nurses, Happy Nephrology Nurses Week and Thanks for all you do!
